For any of our "southeastern" members who have been affected by Katrina, we express our sympathy and hope that your lives can resume as normally as possible, as soon as possible. In view of what happened starting the last week of August, a question has been raised as to the viability of our SEMA Daytona Beach Conference on September 29-October 1. Tom Farrell, conference organizer, informs me that, so far as he knows, few of the registrants have been affected by Katrina, and, as most of you know, Central Florida has been spared any bad weather. There have been no changes in plans and no modification of the program. We continue to look forward to the conference and to the hospitality for which the South is justly famous.
