Dr. William Nylen

WILLIAM NYLEN Ph.D. Columbia University. Dr. Nylen joined the Stetson faculty in the fall of 1992 to teach courses in comparative politics, Latin American politics, the politics of development, and international political economy. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, and completed an M.A. in international affairs at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a Ph.D. at Columbia University, where he specialized in the political economy of Brazil.

He has published work in English and Portuguese on Latin American politics, including the Journal of Latin American Studies, NACLA Report on the Americas, and Comparative Politics. During the 1990-1992 academic years, Dr. Nylen taught at Northeastern University and in the social studies honors program at Harvard University.
