Transfer Students : Deadlines and Requirements
Admission Requirements If you wish to apply as a transfer student to Stetson University you must: Have completed a semester of academic work at a regionally accredited college or university at the time of enrollment at Stetson, and not be concurrently enrolled in high school Be in good standing and eligible to continue at or be readmitted to the last institution attended, unless all work has been completed or you have graduated from that institution Have earned at least a "C" cumulative grade point average in a college parallel program. Most successful candidates have earned at least a 3.0 GPA. Meet all criteria for freshman admission if less than 30 semester hours of college credit have been earned Admission Deadlines The application deadline for the Fall semester is March 1; applications for the Spring semester are due December 1; and applicants for the Summer session should return all application materials by May 1. Applications received after the deadline will be considered on a space available basis. Transfer of Credits Credit will be granted for courses equivalent to courses offered at Stetson University in which the student earned a grade of "C" or better. Evaluation of credit is completed on an individual basis, and a copy of the evaluation is mailed to the student after admission to the University has been granted. Credits transferred are included in the total hours the student has earned, but the grades are not transferred and do not affect the student's GPA at Stetson. Students who have attended regionally accredited two-year colleges may receive up to 60 hours of credit with a grade of "C" or better for courses generally accepted at the same level in a bachelor's degree program at Stetson. Once 60 hours have been earned, no additional credit may be transferred from a two-year community or junior college. Additional credits earned at a regionally accredited college or university may be transferred.
