Admissions

Athletics

Sports play an integral role at Stetson Univeristy, and there are plenty of ways to participate -- students may be eligible to play a varsity sport for one of our NCAA Division I teams or take part in intramurals.

Our men's and women's teams compete in the
Atlantic Sun Conference in 15 sports. Men take part in varsity baseball, basketball, crew, cross country, golf, soccer, and tennis. Women's sports include varsity basketball, crew, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, and volleyball. Scholarships are available in most varsity sports, with the exception of men's and women's crew.

Students at Stetson University enjoy the best of facilities. The Edmunds Activity Center plays host to various classes, sports events, concerts, and special events. The Mandy Stoll Tennis Center, a $350,000 facility, features six lighted tennis courts and spectator stands. The Wilson Athletic Center has sports medicine and physiology labs, weight training and fitness rooms, and faculty offices. A new $5 million baseball stadium, Melching Field, opened in 1999 and the new Stetson softball stadium opened in 2002 in cooperation with the city of Deland. A fast pitch softball stadium is also under construction.
